RTIB to support the ABA Benevolent Fund

Following discussions with the ABA, Richard Thompson Insurance Brokers are hoping to be in a position to donate 20% of the commission earned from any new Bookseller joining the ABA Scheme to the ABA Benevolent Fund.

Booksellers joining the ABA Insurance Scheme - we will donate 20% of our commission earned to the ABA Benevolent Fund

Private Collectors Joining the Collector's Insurance Scheme -we will donate 20% of our commission earned to the ABA Benevolent Fund

Further, we are discussing with the ABA donating commission from retained business from members already using the scheme.

RTIB insure the majority of ABA Booksellers, from the biggest dealers to the smaller businesses run from home. All our clients are insured with Hiscox (Syndicate 33) at Lloyds, one of the leading syndicates for Fine Art Underwriting.

If we do not insure you or your business, please allow us to offer you a quotation in 2010, so that you can see the broad covers we are able to provide, the highly competitive premiums we write and the individual service we have grown our reputation on.

At the end of 2008 we extended the scheme to include private collectors who are now also able to get the best covers provided by Hiscox. Since the launch, we have insured nearly 100 private book and art collectors.

We hope that the continued success of the scheme will be able to further benefit the ABA and its members via the excellent ABA Benevolent Fund.
